Cherry Trapezoid Trays

Each of these sculptural trays by Christian Nyberg is carved from solid cherry wood and blackened through a meticulous charring process that draws out the wood’s natural grain while deepening its tone to a rich, matte black. The form is organic yet angular, with an asymmetrical silhouette that feels both spontaneous and deliberate. A small brass inlay punctuates the surface, offering a warm counterpoint to the darkened wood and nodding to the maker's hand.
