CN Charred Point Tray

This 29" long charred wood "Point" Tray by Christian Nyberg is a sculptural statement grounded in elemental technique. With one end gently rounded and the other tapering into a sharp point, the silhouette feels both natural and intentional—like a form shaped by erosion or flame.

Crafted through Nyberg’s signature process, hardwood embers are placed on the surface and left to burn into the wood. The tray is scraped and re-fired multiple times, with the final shape guided by the unpredictable nature of heat and flame. Subtle curves and surface undulations reflect the hand and fire that formed it, while a single brass dot at the base offers a quiet note of contrast. An artful object for serving, styling, or display.
