MF Bud Vase in Black/Blue

Small bud vase made out of stoneware clay and soda fired by Matt Fishman. After forming, the pieces are coated in a slip made of local clay with added cobalt colorant; this reacts with the soda ash in the kiln, turning into a range of metallic to rocky blacks, with some occasional blue poking through.
