A candle inspired by the Victorian plant hunters. Inspired by the daring botanists who journeyed into uncharted landscapes in search of rare and extraordinary blooms, The Exotics captures the romance of discovery, lush greenery, distant florals, and the quiet elegance of an old botanical field journal. This candle was particularly inspired by Marianne North was a Victorian plant hunter and prolific botanical painter. She was an energetic, experienced and enthusiastic traveller who visited many continents and many countries in pursuit of interesting plants to paint. Between 1871 and 1885 Marianne North painted over 800 paintings while visiting 17 countries on 6 continents in 14 years Top notes: Dahlia & Mandarin Middle notes: Orange Blossom, Blush Magnolia Bottom notes: White Woods, Warm Musk. Thoughtfully hand-poured using a custom blend of natural coconut wax and beeswax. They’re completely free from phthalates, carcinogens, toxins, and other harmful chemicals often found in traditional fragrance oils so you can enjoy a cleaner, safer burn.
